Duisburg/Germany All raver were happy that after 2 years another Loveparade was coming up.
The usual topic ‘love, peace and music’ changed into ‘fear, death and panic’. The government from Duisburg was too lazy with the safety measure. The location was for only 250.000 people but it was known, that more than 1 million people will come. The second thing, there was only one possibility to get to that party-location, you had to go through one small tunnel to get IN AND OUT!

There was a lot of critism and warnings before the event, that if the government won’t change this, many people could die or a panic could be the result, but Duisburg’s government just ignored all the warnings and the result? – 19 young teenager died and more than 500 got injured over a dozen seriously, some still fighting for their lifes.
A lot of people came the day after with candles and flowers in memory of the young people.
Now the mood changed from mourning into rage against the government from Duisburg and all of the organzing-team.
The only official statement from their side at the press conferences “Sorry, but for now we can’t say what happened and why..”
It’s a shame, anyone will take the responibility for this and it’s clearly their fault.
The public prosecutor’s office investigate against the government for manslaughter and carelessness at all.
The result at the end, Duisburg destroyed an event which took part since 20 years in Germany. The founder said already in a public statement, that the Loveparade will never be held again.
We all hope Duisburg will pay for this, but it will never bring back 19 teenager to their families, we are with them.

As I wrote in my other post, many critics blame Lena Meyer-Landruth the 19 year old star from Germany for her bad english and accent. It’s always the same, if someone new is such successful like Lena at the moment, you be envied by many people aswell. Her accent is different and her grammar not perfect but i guess there are just two possibilities – either you love it or you don’t. At least most of the european people vote for her, so it can’t be such bad what she is doing on stage.

Lena doesn’t really care about the blamers which you can see at the following video from a press conference in Oslo before the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. She answered with a little song which make even the reporters smile. She did it like she always does on interviews, she answers question she doesn’t like that much in a funny but natural way. Isn’t that exactly the thing why so many people love her? She is different and not perfect at all, I think many people can identify with her for this reason at least from “non-english-spoken-countries” and in my eyes she does a really good job for a 19 year old girl with all the stress around her. She is trying to do her best and that’s what counts in my eyes. Could you manage that so easily and staying always friendly with a smile on your face?

It was an amzing show at Oslo. Millions of people followed the Eurovision Song Contest on TV and about 18,000 were at the Telenor Arena in Oslo and all of them had a big party at Saturday night.

a happy Lena

At 0:11h (CET) the dream came true – Lena from germany got the highest number of points from televoters and juries from the 39 participating countries in Europe. At the end Lena (19) managed to gather 246 points for Germany this year, followed by maNga from Turkey with 170 points.

There were many of critics who said before, that Lena has a very bad spoken english and because of that it would be hard for her to win at an international contest. The results say something different. It seems like Europe love her even with her “very own english-style”. Lena was the only artist without any big show on stage, no specialeffects no choreography at all, just natural Lena herself and her winningsong “Satellite”.
Some people are saying it was just back to basics, cause in the early years of the Eurovision Song Contest it was the same, just the artist and the song is important, nothing else.

Pretty much out of nowhere Lena sang herself into the German hearts during the national German final for the Eurovision Song Contest. Even though Lena made her way to music without any piano lessons or vocal training. But she got her chance, grabbed it and developed rapidly – from 0 to 100 in some weeks. Stefan Raab – who made the national casting-show “Our star for Oslo” – said “I saw her inside our public casting-box and she was ‘different’, had a very own style of singing and moving, so we decided to give her a chance and we did it right as it seems.” Directly after the German national final, her single Satellite went to the top of all national charts and stayed there for weeks. Lena even created a new German download record, because never before had a song sold so well in such a short time – so far Satellite is sold more than 700 000 times.

Congratulations Lena!

For Germany it was the 2nd win in total and the whole country was celebrating a big party. It was an amazing surprise for Germany to win this year’s Eurovision Song Contest after 28 years again, because the other years weren’t very glorious for Germany at all.

On May 2007 Google launched a new technology feature for Google Maps and Google Earth which is called Google StreetView. This technology provides panoramic views close to the streets in high class pictures. At first it was launched at the United States as a test-project, but now more and more countries and cities were included and Google is planning on more. The idea behind all was, that people can take a close look to those cities they may want to travel to. At least a nice idea, but there is a quiestionable point aswell…

A lot of people got caught by Google’s photos in public while leaving strip clubs, sunbathing in bikinis or even engaging in activities visible from public property in which they do not wish to be seen publicly. It could be you aswell…

Google said that all photos were taken from public property. Google allows users to flag inappropriate or sensitive imagery for Google to review and remove, but will that be enough? You all know how fast pictures go all over the world at the web and if they are once at the web you can’t get them all back. So far Google admitted to save peoples privacy and publish all photos in an indecipherable way, while retouching the eyes and parts of the face. What do you think, would you like to see your own in that way all over the net? Or do you maybe think, Google have to ask you before making and publishing such photos from you? Or do they just retouch every single person at all? Well give me your opinions and feelings about it.

Did our world changed into bad at all?

If you follow the news all around the world more and more is said that crime has become increased. Almost every day the newspapers are filled up with murder, thievery and brutality. Is it really true or isn’t it more like nothing has changed at all, except the fact newspapers make it way more public than before? In my opinion crime is almost the same like years ago. Years ago people got killed or robbed about the same rate than nowadays, but it was not shown always at the news.

Why did it changed that way? Is it just a trend from the media to spread a bit more panic and fear all around the world? Maybe we all want to hear about it more often, so we can say “we live inside a really bad world” as an excuse if something bad happen to us? I have no clue at all, but i would like to get some feedback what you think about it.

Am I wrong at all?

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the movie of the last book will be splitted into two parts, that’s already confirmed by Warner Bros.Entertainment.
I read all of the books and i don’t know why this should happen. In my opinion the last book hasn’t got that high amount of stuff to split it, of course it has got a lot of informations and so on, but there are no actions like a quidditch-game or any other big event beside the “mainstory” at all.

If you take a closer look at the other movies and compare them with the books you will see, that many informations
were cut out for the movies, sometimes even important ones in my eyes.
Therefore I think you could put it easily into one movie, but maybe there is another reason for this…
It could also be possible, that it is just a thing to get more money out of it, because all who followed Harry Potter will watch both parts for sure and we all know, that there won’t be any other part in the future.
What do you think about it?

Another thing about the Deathly Hallows, rumors say that Warner Bros. will also produce the last two parts in 3D,
but so far it’s not confirmed yet.
For sure it would be nice at least for the “last fight” at Hogwarts-castle, but all in all I’m not sure if it is really necessary to do it. Is it maybe just to follow the trend towards Avatar?

After all i can say, that I will watch it for sure because I like the story about Harry Potter, but if I must see it in 3D…
who knows.

Edit: please do me a favour and don’t spoil the story for those who don’t know it yet
